Well, here goes. Creating a WordPress site has taken me years of contemplation… and a matter of seconds to actually sit down and do it! And even though it is currently devoid of any content, the whole process was quite rewarding. I feel like with time this may turn into a great way of sharing my experiences, thoughts and ideas… whether people will actually read them is a different matter!
In particular, I hope to use this place to record my various outdoorsy adventures. If you haven’t been able to tell already, I like the big rocky things that protrude from the ground. Mountains… in all their shapes and sizes. So I foresee a significant part of my posts being in some way related to them. Be that skiing, climbing, scrambling or hiking. As a bit of a self professed gear-whore, I may throw some outdoor gear reviews in there as well.
Photography is another one of my growing interests. I am by no means an expert, but have started to delve beyond the bland safety of the “auto” mode into the world of ISO, aperture, shutter speed, focal lengths and filters to achieve more interesting results. So I will probably end up putting my better pics on here too… probably of mountains.
